Lacroix 1Roderick LacroixEnglish Three26 May 2009Louis Armstrong:The Greatest Jazz MusicianBorn from a poor family and spectacularly evolved into a one of a kind wealthy jazz musician, his name was Louis Daniel Armstrong. Louis was born in New Orleans of August 4 in 1901.As a child he was a very hard worker: In terms of helping his mother (Mayann Armstrong) and his sister (Beatrice Armstrong). He would do his total best to support his family no matter what type of job he had to do. At seven years of age Louis received his first horn: The cornet. Soon after when he was between the ages of ten and twelve, he was sent to “The Jones home for colored waifs”(because of him firing a pistol on new years eve). Armstrong has learned his first formal music lessons while being there, and when he was 14 he was later being released. Afterwards he started to support himself to be a musician and also started to join music bands and finding a mentor in his new music life: Joe Oliver, who was also named Joe “King” Oliver(because he was of one of several noted musicians). When the early years of 1920 Armstrong’s popularity increase greatly as he had left new Orleans for Chicago to join in “King” Oliver’s Creole Jazz band. Many years later Louis had became famous in the world of jazz music.Lacroix 2Armstrong had returned to Chicago in 1926 and became headliner in radio and records, astonishing many with his trumpet solos and with his “scat” singing evolved vocal tradition. It has made other musicians study his recordings to listen to what a horn can actually do.Decades later Louis had served as “Ambassador Satch” during the early years of the cold war (a little after World war two) and has spread good will for America around the world along with State Department-sponsored tours of the 1960s. He was great with newly independent nations of Africa, left a mark on such events in 1956 celebrating Ghana’s independence (100,000 plus of Louis Armstrong’s fans attended this event). Sadly Armstrong passed away on the date of July 6th of 1971, leaving his last album in 1970”What a wonderful world”, also leaving his mark as best of the best jazz music players in his years. Capricornsssss
You might have mixed emotions about what you need to do at work today, yet you cannot put off your decision too much longer. Instead of making your choice based upon the current circumstances, it might be helpful for you to stand back and take a longer view of what you are doing and where you would like to go. Although there may be a growing concern this week that must be addressed, don't lose sight of the larger context in which these events are unfolding.
Taurus for my GF
The Moon enters sensual Taurus at 12:40 am EDT, reminding us of the supreme importance of our five senses. This is a day when we must get back to basics and the Moon's harmonious trine to Pluto in solid Capricorn strengthens our resolve to simplify our lives. But we may not be fully committed to the three-dimensional material world as philosopher Jupiter approaches a conjunction with healer Chiron and dreamer Neptune, drawing us into ethereal realms.
Poem 3
when you walk away
i cant find a word to say
but when i think
all i thik is stay
Come to my arms
i mean you no harm
and certainly no alarm
i want to hold you
i dont wanna control you
just dont walk away...
i cant find a word to say
but when i think
all i thik is stay
Come to my arms
i mean you no harm
and certainly no alarm
i want to hold you
i dont wanna control you
just dont walk away...

I interviewed Danielle Rosen
I have interviewed Danielle Rosen .She has attended Piper High School for all four years she has been here .Danielle has told me she is going to attend college ,and she wants to go to the International School of Arts(ISA).Also she says her favorite high school memory was skipping her freshman year .She isn’t sure if she is going out of state for college also.
She said she’s happy and sad that she’s leaving ,Happy because she gets to go out into the world ,sad because she’s leaving all the friends she has made here in piper .She told me that she’s going into a dorm room for college .Danielle’s High school sweet heart Is Roderick .She might go live with her friends in college too if they go to the same college .She told me her goal in college was to learn about writing and design and become a director ,Because she likes art ,and she likes movies and she thinks she can make a lot of movies better .She told me that she doesn’t know how many years for writing/movies will take her to get there ,but she thinks its ten years .Danielle loves Piper High School and wishes she didn’t have to leave High School yet.

Poem 1
Search high search low
you will find your soul
maybe pure as light or dark as coal
too hard for me to control
Finding a way to sedate the pain
Avoiding truths and hiding in lies of shame
Even panacea cannot fix this turbulent away
i will never exult from these tacit contractions
not even in simple interactions.
